Collision Repair Process

Our Collision Repair Process

Here are the basics of the repair process at Allard Collision to help you understand what goes on when you bring your vehicle in for collision repair.

Auto Body Estimator doing an estimate with customers

1: Estimate

Before any work can be done, we will assess the damage to your vehicle. Our staff will then give you or your insurance company a written estimate. During this phase, any parts needed to make the repair will be ordered.

Vehicle in Prep for collision repair

2: Vehicle Prep

Your vehicle’s damaged parts will be disassembled, and the original layers of paint will be removed. If any hidden damage is found at this point, you will be alerted.

3: Body Work

This is where the structural body repairs will be made: dents will be removed, new panels prepared and installed, priming, sealing, and corrosion protection adhered. The repair area will be cleaned, sanded, and ready to be painted.
